Seda Sinem ÇaÄŸlar is a Clinical Psychologist who works with parents, children and adults providing online therapy services in English and Turkish.

 

After completing her undergraduate education with honors at Bilkent University, Department of Psychology, she settled in the United States and started her clinical studies in New York. She completed her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Walden University and worked in many private clinics in New York during this period. 

 

She worked as a counselor at the first of these, the Mighty Mouth Kids Camp (a special camp for anxiety disorders in children), organized by the Kurtz Psychology Consulting clinic in Manhattan, New York. She was trained by Dr. Steven Kurtz, the owner of the clinic and an internationally known child psychologist. In this process, she worked with children under the supervision of Dr. Caroline Harvey and Dr. Kate Gibson who are Clinical Psychologists.

During her graduate studies, she did an internship for one year under the supervision of Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychologists Dr. Chelsey Rosen and Dr. Erika Stapert. She has a particular interest in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), whose efficacy has been scientifically proven, where she was able to experience PCIT both theoretically and practically.

She received intensive training from Dr. Kurtz in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) after graduation. As a Specialist Child Psychologist, Steven Kurtz is a highly respected clinical researcher in Manhattan who specializes in treating children's behavior problems and disorders.

Through her work with parents and children, she improves interaction between them, strengthens communication, and reduces behavioral problems in children such as hyperactivity, attention deficit, tantrums, aggression, opposition, and disobedience. In addition, she improves social skills and cooperation in children.

Adult, Family and Couples Therapy

She works not only with parents and children, but also with adults, families, and couples with a variety of presenting issues including phobias, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship problems, major depressive disorder, lack of motivation, panic attack, self-confidence problem, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), depression, stress, grief, jealousy, disorders in interpersonal relationships, support for migrant families, emotional abuse, neglect, violence, coping with stress and anger management.
